You and the universe What is this life i ull of care we have no time to stand and stare no time to stand beneath the stars and stare at Venus, Moon or Mars no time to think or even ponder there may be people way out yonder or watch the sunrise bringing hope or even buy a telescope. What is this life. Sentinel Moon You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars. You have been molded from cosmic dust. The building blocks of life, with their carbon based organic compounds have taken billions of years in marching through the evolutionary pathways that have culminated in what you are today, given you the marvel of sight that you may perceive what it has created, and enabled you to compute those technologies that will advance you into the time of future man, and take you to the stars. Our origins - you and me looking at the Universe But in our daily lives we do not think of these cosmic things, for we are too engrossed in our own little world, trying to keep up with the Jones's, making our voice heard, accumulating wealth that will give us power, and turning a blind eye to greed. But when it comes down to life and the Universe, there are things that will never change, for in this world of rich people and poor people, always remember - You are no better than any one of them, and always remember - No-one is better than you.
