Buck & Twink When I was just a kid I was allowed to go to the "Flix" on Saturday afternoons. My parents were poor. There were 10 of us to feed, and I was given a shilling. Sixpence to get in and sixpence for an ice cream. I was always only there until half time, just to see Buck Rogers and Buddy Wade do battle with the tyrants. Twink & Buddy Wade I wasn't interested with the main film after half time because it was full of Nelson Eddy and all that love stuff. I just wanted to see the Starships, the Galactic battles, and Buck winning - always. Killer Kane's Starships Preserved in a state of suspended animation for 500 years, Buck Rogers and young buddy Wade are brought back to life by future Earth scientists. They awaken in the year 2500 A.D. and planet Earth is in a state of emergency (sounds familiar) being ruled by Killer Kane and his gangsters, not in a very good position to stem the pending invasion of the Trogans. Earth is in dire need of rescuing and Buck and Buddy solicit the help of planet Saturn to rid the universe of these sinister tyrants. The spectacular intergalactic battles begin. Will Buck Rogers save planet Earth? Yes, he does. NGC 4261

The pix you included are not the original Buck Rogers movies which were in B&W, but were from a much later TV series from the 1970's.
The original Buck Rogers series, along with "Tom Corbett, Space Cadet" (also B&W) ran on US TV in the 1950's and early 60's on Saturday mornings to keep the kids occupied, and quiet.
In the original matinee movies series; Buck was always trying to rescue "Dale" from "Ming, the Merciless", on some obscure planet I forgot the name of.
