Just picked up this bulletin from another forum: Full story can be found here. Wonder if they've found evidence of intelligent life here on Earth??!! ;D ;D

Andy or anybody else: What is diameter of a practical GOOD radio or X Ray telescope? I know X ray systems only work in Earth orbit but I am trying to figure out if you need something the size of Jodrell Bank (60 meters I think?) to do useful work in say deep field galactic clusters research?

Yes Andy, What NASA will come up with will be interesting indeed. Also, do you know that there is a terrific website called "AIA daily lead" This site sends you a free e/mail every day about the world's defense industry, the aircraft industry and the space industry, and all contracts let. We are talking in billions of dollars here. There is always the latest about NASA - every day. Just type in AIA daily lead on the net and when the page comes up, click on AIA daily lead sign up. M106

You can get the direct feed from NASA by going to www.nasa.gov. For those in N. America with cable/satellite TV systems; you should have a NASA channel on your system. The press conference was pretty boring BTW.
