Hello again everybody,
Iron Mountain Man from the "old" ST is back in circulation.
Two things: I've been readng a lot of works by the late William Olaf Stapeldon and trying to survive in the USA.
Also wondering if the British Interplanetary Society is still alive and active and refining their Dadelus deterium/H3 fusion power un manned interstellar spacecraft.
Fermi Lab is about 18 km from home. Anybody else from the USA on the forum as of late?

Hi IMM & great to hear from you again. Seems like ages since we last spoke! As RJ has probably mentioned, Habu has had to pull the plug on his Spacetalk after just over a decade. However the software there was pretty ancient and this one has many features which probably weren't around so much ten years ago, such as sending private messages. Not really up on this sort of stuff but they seem to be alive & kicking per this link to their website. Hope all is well & good to hear from one of ST's 'originals' again.

Nice to hear from you Tom and great to hear that you're 'fighting fit' (as we say in the UK!) once again. With regards to our old friend RJ, I'm very sorry to have to tell you that he passed away on August 18th 2013, having been told a few months earlier that he was terminally ill. After the demise of the original Spacetalk forum in 2010, we kept in touch via email up until the very end. His good lady wife emailed me with the very sad news later that same day (i.e. August 18th) and I sent a lengthy message of condolence/tribute to RJ by return. Still very sadly missed. Anyway my best wishes to you for a very Happy & Healthy New Year........ plus plenty of clear skies, too.

Hi guys, I'm from the original ST as well, although I did not post too much there. Glad to see it is still up and running so many years later.
