In an attempt to help jack up this very quiet forum, I thought that I'd post this shot that I took recently. Had it not been for the crap framing, it could have turned out rather nice. No expensive telescopes were used - merely a second hand 135mm camera lens which I bought in the 1990's. The Index Catalogue numbers for these objects are IC1805 and IC1848 & are located just to the east of Cassiopeia. The lens was attached to my modified 350D Canon DSLR (the modified filter change makes the camera far more red sensitive) and the camera attached to my AstroTrac platform which I purchased just over a year ago. Next clear night I may try this again, having framed it better.
