I like talking about making inhabitable places habitable. It makes me come up with cool cheap ideas. Such as a way to make mars warm enough for living. I thought of a large glass lens (like a magnifying glass) to concentrate heat upon mars. Seems fairly simple enough for nasa to pull off. And what about water. Obviously mars has some but not enough to sustain a hearty race such as humans. Even with the possible ice caps that may exist. Maybe we could part with some of earths water though it would probably ruin our atmosphere. Maybe an ancient advanced martian tried it already and ruined theres in the process to jump to earth?
Btw i made this thread so i can read other crazy out there ideas and think of more to share. keep this thread rollin

Lazoot, crazy out there ideas are not part of NASA's return to the Moon nor its Martian habitation program, and as a member here I am not inclined to participate in them.
Ways to alter the Geology of Mars whereby it would support humankind is being conducted by scientists from NASA, The Mars Society, ESA and those at campus, and we leave it to their professionalism to provide those systems that would make the Red Planet habitable.
I beleive you would do well to study the constellation guide to advance your knowledge of the Universe and insert material that would be both educational and of interest to all members.

Rather than build a huge magnifying glass, could we not lasso Mars with a giant fishing rod and reel it in closer to the Sun? And to think people thought I was just a pretty face on this forum!
