As some of you will have realised, the old Spacetalk forum went down last weekend. Attempts (over a dozen phone calls in total plus a couple of e-mails) to contact the Administrator have been unsuccessful. In the seven years I have been with Spacetalk, it has NEVER been 'down' for this length of time before and I fear that this crash will be permanent! 
I have therefore taken it upon myself to create a second version of the old forum. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the old database - so I've had to create this forum from scratch (with help from a cached version of the original Spacetalk). This means that all of the posts from the original version have been lost.
Luckily I have several e-mail addresses for some of our existing members, so will be passing on the link to this new site in the hope they will sign up.
Anyway the standard forum rules (which you should read before posting) are as follows:
1. Treat each other with respect - no personal attacks - perpetrators will be given a warning, then if there is a repeat of the offence, have their account suspended for seven days. Persistent offenders will then be banned.
2. No Politics or Religion - these topics invariably descend into arguments or personal attacks - steer clear!
3. Prejudice of ANY kind will not be tolerated - no second chances - instant ban.
4. In general, flames must be avoided - or if you MUST argue, do it via PM.
5. Non-nonsensical posts will be zapped, as deemed by the Admin team.
6. No SPAM! These posts will be removed immediately!
7. When posting someone elses images, always credit the original artist(s) - and obtain permission if neccesary. The same applies to quoting text from another source in a post here.
Never claim someone elses images as your own - offenders will be banned.
8. Above all, ENJOY using this forum. It is up to everyone to make it work!
